Success Story 1

What is your story?

I went through several tough times – family problems, girlfriend issues, and no salary at (the) office. Each time was tough and nerve wrecking. Made me wonder the purpose of life and how I landed up in this situation

Do you have any tips, tricks, and stories that helped you or a loved one during this time?

Get out of blame game – stop looking back on how you got into this mess. Only look forward. Friends help a lot and so does the love of parents especially mom. Always have a couple of confidantes and don’t hide anything from them. Stay away from alcohol, cigarettes, and dope.

Success Story 2

What is your story?

The time I was diagnosed with depression was a year post a bad breakup. Though in the beginning, everything seemed fine, being dumped brought out all my childhood insecurities and fear of isolation. The condition only worsened with me feeling worthless and guilty of the breakup and every single wrong thing that happened to me.

Do you have any tips, tricks, and stories that helped you or a loved one during this time?

I am a huge introvert and talking to people about my personal life usually leaves me feeling very vulnerable and weak. And since the incident involved talking about my deep dark secrets, I was more apprehensive. But, once I understood that my loved ones were ready to listen sans any judgment or advice, I felt brave enough to talk and that made all the difference in the world. While a medical professional helps in helping you get out it, only a mother or partner is able to heal you with unconditional love. I have seen this work for one of my friends as well.
