Logo Insta Series Roundup

Hola people!

Last week, we had a logo series on our Instagram page, where we did a small analysis of the design of some of the popular apps in the market. Today, we do a roundup of these logos in this post. We talked startups, some giants and the last one is an absolute brilliant one. 😉

We're back with another insta series! This time we talk logos. A logo can be two things – one that is simple to understand, goes with the name and to the point or one that tells a story and has intricacies in its details. Let's see how this week's logos fare. Today, we talk swiggy's logo. Swiggy is a location based food delivery service. The logo shows the S of Swiggy and the location part of it with a gps pin. The culmination of two results in this amazing chic logo that Bangalore has become so accustomed to. #swiggy #logo #goodDesign #lbtc #blogger #blog #fashionblogger #indianblogger #bangaloreDays #bangaloreDiaries #bangaloreBlog #bangaloreBlogger #IndianBlog #fashionblogger #fashionblog #IndianFashionBlogger #IndianFashionBlog #IndianFashionBloggers #IndianFashionBlogs #designMatters #designBlog #designBlogger #goodOrBadDesign #goodDesignMakesMeHappy

In today's installment of LBTC logo reviews, we talk about the Amazon shopping app. Just one question. Why?!! Amazon has a good logo with the arrow from a to z telling a story etc., But the app is literally something a novice like me would reject. Just take a look at it. It has a crazy shade of deep blue which does nothing with the black background screen out phones offer and don't get me started on the cart. I can make a better cart and I started designing a couple of months back. I love Amazon and the app logo makes me so sad! #amazon #logo #badDesignMakesMeSad #badDesign #amazonApp #lbtc #blogger #blog #fashionblogger #indianblogger #bangaloreDays #bangaloreDiaries #bangaloreBlog #bangaloreBlogger #IndianBlog #fashionblogger #fashionblog #IndianFashionBlogger #IndianFashionBlog #IndianFashionBloggers #IndianFashionBlogs #designMatters #designBlog #designBlogger #goodOrBadDesign

BookMyShow has become synonymous to movie watching in India. Their logo is simple, to the point and describes their business. The app logo is a "my" on a ticket stub which indicates "my ticket" which is their business. The site logo is basically an extension of the app logo with book and show on either sides of the logo. This also keeps the brand identity with a part of the logo used for the app. Good Design. Today, in the logo review series, we talk Hangouts. I love Google. No ifs, no buts, just pure love. Nothing can budge me from this love. But, I never liked this logo. I get that it was meant to replace GChat and hence the speech bubble and the quotation marks. But, it is just not right. It does not encompass the video side of hangouts – which is used probably more than the chat feature hands down and the speech bubble irks me. A circle with a triangle down, really? Bad. #hangouts #logo #badDesign #badDesignMakesMeSad #lbtc #blogger #blog #fashionblogger #indianblogger #bangaloreDays #bangaloreDiaries #bangaloreBlog #bangaloreBlogger #IndianBlog #fashionblogger #fashionblog #IndianFashionBlogger #IndianFashionBlog #IndianFashionBloggers #IndianFashionBlogs #designMatters #designBlog #designBlogger #goodOrBadDesign

Today, we conclude the logo series and today we do not rate the design. Rather, we discuss it. Yes! Meet Deezee, LBTC's logo and mascot aka our design expert. Why the owl you ask? The answer is multifold. 1. Owls can see in the dark and look beyond what we mere humans can see and perceive. Exactly what LBTC wishes to do. 2. Owl is the companion of Athena – the goddess of wisdom and we at LBTC think study of design is essential for education in any field to be considered complete. 3. Finally, we are obsessed with owls in general. They are nice and wise. What more do you want? So, today it's a question to you guys – how do you rate the logo? Good or bad?
