If you read last week’s post about 26 quirky facts about me, you would know I have a strong sense of smell and anything strong can give me a headache. So, finding a good perfume even after trying one out is difficult for me. After learning about The Big Book Box and the growth of subscription boxes in India, I randomly found All Good Scents and their subscription plan.
All Good Scents
All Good Scents is a company that sells various perfumes, and they have a subscription box where a user can select perfume samples to try out before actually investing in one. The idea struck me as amazing because you could try out sample scents for a decent time before investing in a one you like. The price point was also a plus point while ordering the box, 199 for three testers seemed quite pocket-friendly. Let’s get to unboxing, shall we?
The box came padded with styrofoam. The actual testers are placed in a prism-like box that contains the samples. We absolutely loved the design of the box but the size of the box is very deceiving. The tester sample sizes are just half the size of the boxes. That was truly disappointing especially for the price paid. I was expecting a 10ml or at least 5ml samples but the ones received were 2ml. I clearly did not pay attention while ordering. Also, some of the scents that really excited me were not available when I was placing the order.
Miss Diva Cover Girl
The scent is very fruity and floral.
EDP for Her
Top : Lily Of The Valley, Bergamot, Blackcurrant
Heart : Rose, Gardenia, Orange Blossoms
Base : Heliotrope, Vanilla, Iris
The scent is very floral and reminds me a little bit of camphor.
Top : White Flowers, Mandarin, Orange Blossoms
Heart : Jasmine, Patchouli, Rose
Base : Honey, Cedar, Vetiver
I have always loved musk fragrances, especially white musk. So, even though this was a men’s fragrance, I picked it up to try it out. The scent is very strong and reminded me instantly of cough syrup and Dad’s after-stave lotion.
EDT for Him
Top : Mandarin
Heart : Ylang-Ylang, Rum, Musk
Base : Musk, Patchouly, Tonka Beans, Amber, Oud
Though the idea is novel and worth a try if you are a lover of perfumes, the 2ml quantity is far too less to form an opinion. But I really want to try the rest of the scents especially “Love & Joy”. We loved the idea and are up for trying new novel subscription boxes. Have you ever subscribed to All Good Scents’ Scentbox? Which fragrances did you try? How did you like it?
